Healthcare Technology and News: Enovate Releases the New Medication Cart

Enovate, a national provider of mobile and wall mounted clinical workstations for the healthcare environment, released the new, Enovate Medication Computing Cart, designed to deliver medication safely and efficiently.

Belonging to company’s medical cart series, the new Medication Cart comes in different drawer sizes and 19 different drawer configurations, enabling the caregiver the freedom of mobility while dispensing medication safely and effortlessly.

Each cart offers the option to be compatible with typical medication delivery systems such as Pyxis, Omnicell, and even the McKesson robotic systems and can hold between four to 16 exchangeable drawers, allowing for a seamless transition from pharmacy to medication cart to patient.

Manufactured and assembled at Enovate’s Ferndale, Michigan facilities, this state-of-the-art Cart offers an array of safety features, including anti-microbial medication drawers and supply bins that are protected by a keyless electronic PIN code and a programmable auto lock.

According to Fred Calero, president and co-founder, the new Medication Cart helps reduce medication delivery errors, protect patients and caregivers alike, and still finds a way to be lightweight.

“Even at maximum capacity, the Enovate Medication Cart is remarkably light, providing ease of use and ergonomic mobility,” Calero said.-

In addition to the above features, the new Cart includes power management software that includes dashboard management and customizable email alerts, but also signals hospital staff when power levels are critically low with an audible-alert, low-battery life indicator. It can also integrate seamlessly with most point-of-care platforms, including laptops, tablets, PC's, all-in-ones, thin-clients and wireless bar code scanners.

Headquartered in Ferndale, Mich. Enovate portfolio includes multiple solutions for medication delivery, computerized physician order entry, clinical documentation, and language translation products and services. The company has implemented more than 40,000 devices in the healthcare community and has manifested itself in hospitals achieving the highest standards of patient care.
