Healthcare Technology and News: GoIP Signs Text Messaging Service Agreement with Pharmaceutical Company

GoIP Global has signed a text messaging service agreement with a major pharmaceutical company.

The company offers solutions for the production and distribution of made-for-mobile entertainment, interactive television and mobile marketing concepts. GoIP has developed a fully-integrated service portfolio that enables its customers to select a single solutions partner.

According to trade experts, 2009 is likely to see an Explosive Mobile Marketing growth due to the increase in texting, partly because of the evolving consumer communication habits as well as more affordable data plans.

"In 2008 many large media brands leveraged the mobile channel to extend their reach and to have an additional means for monetization. With the mobile phone becoming an important part of consumers' busy lives, media companies are now challenged with providing people with information when and where they want it,” said Ike Sutton, CEO.

Sutton said that media giants like the New York Times, Style.com, People.com and the Associated Press have proved that mobile can act as an extension of a brand.

He pointed out that this year's election coverage was different than any other, with more and more people owning mobile phones and demanding real-time election information. Media brands stepped in to reach consumers on-the-go.

Sutton beleives that all companies are going to be revising their advertising and marketing budgets to cope with the downturn in the economy and they are going to be looking for vehicles that are going to give them the best ROI and the best response rates.

Mobile marketing has one of the highest response rates, with the largest reach potential of any medium out there today.

“I believe we are going to see a continued investment in mobile and possibly even a higher growth rate than what's estimated," he added.
