Oracle Expands its Health Sciences Suite

The new Oracle Health Sciences Pharmacovigilance Operational Analytics will help life sciences organizations and their contract research organization (CRO) partners to improve pharmacovigilance productivity and facilitate compliance through increased insight.

Life sciences organizations and CROs can leverage Oracle’s new release to better manage pharmacovigilance processes and costs across multiple case processing sites.

Built on Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition, the solution enables users to identify and analyze trends or gather real-time information related to multiple aspects of pharmacovigilance operations including case volume, site performance, specific products or groups, workflow repetitions, and time to case lock.

In addition to driving improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of pharmacovigilance programs, these insights can support regulatory compliance initiatives, according to Oracle.

Oracle Health Sciences Pharmacovigilance Operational Analytics can be used even by non-technical users. It features comprehensive out-of-the-box dashboards and reports that enable operations and workflow managers to track metrics and drill down into real-time data associated with current cases, as well as analyze historical key performance indicators and metrics.

“As life sciences organizations seek to improve the efficiency and productivity of their product safety and pharmacovigilance operations, advanced analytical applications are rapidly becoming indispensible business tools,” said Neil de Crescenzo, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Health Sciences.

He continued, “Oracle Health Sciences Pharmacovigilance Operational Analytics expands Oracle's industry-leading suite of operational planning, tracking and management applications for health sciences organizations. The new solution provides unprecedented visibility into pharmacovigilance processes across multiple case processing sites and gives life sciences organizations and their CRO partners the actionable insight needed to drive new levels of performance.”
