Diversinet's mobiPublisher 4.7 Provides a Framework for Mobile Healthcare Apps

Diversinet Corp. recently unveiled a new application in mobiPublisher 4.7, which provides healthcare organizations with solutions offering the rapid deployment of secure Web-to-mobile applications. As mobile becomes the computing operating choice for the consumer, businesses have to provide solutions that implement this device across all platforms.

The Diversinet solution provides healthcare organizations a patient-centric platform to engage patients and improve care coordination. The enhanced mobiPublisher 4.7 is a tool for providing mobile platforms for developing and managing secure enterprise-wide healthcare applications within a unified framework.

The new mobiPublisher has been updated to include many of the things for which the different segments of healthcare organizations have been asking, thereby improving mobile patient engagement and care coordination. The improvements simplify biometric and other data, care plans, integration, preferences, sharing and analysis of patient profiles and secure collection.

This type of unified framework results in better patient care while making the organization more efficient, cutting down on the costs associated with inefficient systems.

The system provides integration with backend cloud-based clinical systems for real-time updates to ensure changing mobile environments. It is compatible with most mobile devices, including major smartphones and tablets.

The mobiPublisher is the first mHealth platform to exceed the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), by meeting the stringent FIPS 140-2 standards.

"We offer our enhanced mobiPublisher as a model for how the healthcare industry can begin standardizing mHealth platforms to harmonize and manage various kinds of data. Diversinet is working diligently to address market needs for comprehensive, high-impact mHealth solutions that integrate health content, including information from electronic health records, claims databases, patient surveys, and device and sensor data. The industry requires a broad, interoperable approach to reach the next level in achieving superior patient engagement, care and outcomes with lower costs," said Diversinet CEO, Dr. Hon Pak.

Some of the new additions to the new mobiPublisher 4.7 include:

A secure person-to-person messaging with military-grade encryption, which allows messaging with image attachment between patients and physicians as well as other individuals.

The ability to export data for analytics and reporting with device-generated data in formats common to most users, including CSV and XML.

A new wizard for enabling streamlined questionnaire creation and deployment. This tool provides even non-technical staff the tools they need to design, test and publish patient questionnaires. Once questionnaires are finished they can be transmitted to a select or broad range of patients across different demographics to learn insights into patient behavior and conditions.

The SDK is expandable so a customized and interoperable application with mobiHealth Wallet can be created. The new SDK supports secure storage and data synchronization, provisioning and all major functions.

These upgrades give customers more options in developing custom wallets to address the needs of their organization.
