CoActiv Introduces Ground Breaking Zero-Footprint Cloud-Based EXAM-BROWSER

The latest revolutionary program from CoActiv is now available. A fully cloud based system leaving zero-footprints, the EXAM BROWSER from CoActiv offers an anytime, anywhere review of medical-related reports and images using a universal clinical viewer. The clients of CoActiv’s hospital and imaging centers, who use CoActiv’s EXAM VAULT to store images, can now use the EXAM-BROWSER to see and influence exams super fast from any browser-enabled mobile device or computer system.

The process is quick and secure and can be accessed from anywhere in the world, including Linux, MAC and Windows PCs, and Smartphones or tablets like the iPod, iPhone, iPad, HP Slate, Android Phones, CoActiv EXAM PAD, Blackberry Torch, Samsung Galaxy and T-Mobile Slate. The system also has 3G and 4G internet connectivity, along with wired network and Wi-Fi access.

The EXAM BROWSER is a one of a kind system that is capable of supporting multiple users at the same time, in several different locations, and resulting in real time user interaction and collaborations. Referring physicians can also make use of this tool for full-function, easy-to-use and highly flexible interactive image viewing.

In a release, CEO and President of CoActiv, Ed Heere said that “Finally, the physicians have a sophisticated but easy-to-use way to communicate, consult and collaborate across multiple image platforms including local PCs as well as mobile devices. CoActiv is excited about introducing this major innovation in medical image communication. EXAM-BROWSER will allow physicians to view any modality from any PACS in any format. Viewing anatomy as 3D structures will help all physicians as well as patients more fully understand a diagnosis. And because of the viewer’s standards-based technology, it can be used in conjunction with any PACS as long as the images are stored on the CoActiv vendor-neutral, cloud-based archive.”

Logging in to the EXAM BROWSER is as simple as clicking on a link and entering a registered username and password. The application then opens up to reveal a list of easily searchable studies that are available to the particular user. The exam list can further be sorted using criteria such as date, patient name, description, and modality. The browser based tool automatically checks for available bandwidth latency in networks, ensuring maximum image clarity and speed.
