Healthcare Technology and News: Mitchell International Announces the Availability of XML Partner Bridge with Healthcare Solutions

Mitchell International, a provider of workflow and performance management solutions to the Property and Casualty claims and Collision Repair industries, announced that the SmartAdvisor XML Partner Bridge is now available throughout Healthcare Solutions’ DME provider network.

Healthcare Solutions is a durable medical equipment (DME) network provider to the workers' compensation industry.

“With Healthcare Solutions, Mitchell clients leverage advanced claims technology solutions such as the SmartAdvisor XML Partner Bridge to reduce medical claims turnaround time ,while adding savings and improving claim outcomes,” said Tom Shivers, executive vice president of Healthcare Solutions, at workers' compensation services.

Mitchell International’s SmartAdvisor XML Partner Bridge offers the power to conduct network contract repricing to enhance overall program results. With the creation of a SmartAdvisor XML Partner Bridge, insurance payers will have new opportunities for containing costs and improving claim settlements, by flagging unscheduled medical bills to obtain the contracted discount.

“Mitchell is committed to simplifying and optimizing complex claims and business environments by partnering with best-in-class firms like Healthcare Solutions,” said Nina Smith-Garmon, senior vice president and general manager of the Mitchell Workers' Compensation Solutions Division, in a statement.

For medical bill review organizations, bill review turnaround time will be reduced, giving payers visibility into performance and process benchmarks using the current, accurate provider contracts and repricing data. The Partner Bridge is built on standard XML file formats. It is designed to enable users to obtain the latest repricing data from networks, negotiation partners, and reviewers.

Mitchell’s solutions enable millions of electronic transactions between more than 30,000 business partners each month to enhance partner productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

In December 2010, Mitchell announced the close of its purchase of Ingenix's P&C medical bill review (MBR) business. The purchase strengthens the market leadership position of Mitchell Workers' Compensation Solutions (WCS) business and its SmartAdvisor(TM) medical bill review platform.
