Healthcare Technology and News: M.A.D Team Up with MainNerve to Provide Healthcare Smartphone Security Services

The incidents of violence and security breaches have compelled hospital administrations to boost their surveillance on the visitors, patients and unknown persons entering in the facilities.

To safeguard critical patient information, Mobile Application Development (M.A.D.) Partners, LLC has partnered with MainNerve to offer iPhone, iPad and smartphone security and compliance to the critical healthcare sector.

According to a press release, M.A.D. Partners, LLC is the first company that has developed and deployed a Mobile Enterprise Compliance and Security (MECS) server that locks down iPhones, iPads as well as smartphones and tablet devices, giving the enterprise complete control, management and administration over their entire mobile population, based upon the devices' actual physical location.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Phoenix, MainNerve works exclusively on information security services and solutions primarily to the healthcare industry.

Jeff Logsdon, CEO and co-founder of MainNerve, said he understands the challenges healthcare providers face in applying comprehensive security and privacy programs and was quickly able to see the value that Mobile Active Defense and its Mobile Enterprise and Compliance Security Server (MECS) solution had for MainNerve customers.

Logsdon added that the company has focused for years on methodologies for securing enterprise networks, but the obvious next step is to apply those methodologies to the burgeoning mobile environment and Mobile Active Defense was the best solution for the defenses of the enterprise information security program.

With the availability of the MECS solution, iPhones, iPads and other smartphones can now be held to the same stringent security protocols required by compliance guidelines and laws.
